Understanding Namup

What does Namup do?

Namup puts your money in the order that matters, then draws two answers out of it. Your commitments first, your future next, and what is left is yours. That order produces the amount you can spend this month without touching anything already promised, and the date you reach your goal. Around those two answers sit your wealth, your debts, your Zakat, the purchases you have yet to decide on, and a vault for your documents.

Do I have to track my spending?

No, never, and there is no screen for it. That is not a simplification, it is the method. Logging every purchase is the ritual that manufactures guilt, and it is also why almost nobody keeps a budget past three weeks. You declare your commitments once, you refresh your balances when you feel like it, and Namup does the rest.

Do I have to connect my bank?

No, never required. Namup works from what you declare: your income, your commitments, your balances when you want more precision. No transaction is ever entered or imported.

How is a goal's date calculated?

On your real saving capacity, never on a date that would sound nice. You set the price of the goal and the down payment you want to build, and Namup answers in years and months. When your capacity changes, the date changes with it.

Who is Namup built for?

Designed first for the diaspora and the MENA region: multi-currency, three languages, and the realities that matter, family support, daret, Zakat. Useful to anyone who wants clarity without tracking expenses.

Your account and your data

Where does my data go?

It stays on your device, by default. No selling, no ads, no profiling, and verifiable deletion at any time. The online options and the assistant exist only if you switch them on yourself. The detail is written in the privacy policy.

What does Namup cost?

A full month. After that it is a subscription, monthly or yearly, or you stop and leave with all of your data. There is no cut-down free version. The price depends on the country you are in, and it is shown before any payment.

How do I cancel?

You cancel by one of two routes. The first is the subscription settings screen, in Namup opened from a browser at namup.net; that control is not offered in the installed phone app, a subscription taken out through the site being cancelled through the site. The second is your Link account. Cancellation takes effect at the close of the period you have already paid for, and we take no further payment. Cancellation does not delete your account or your data.

How do I ask for a refund?

Write to hello@namup.net from your account's email address, stating the plan you subscribed to and the date of the charge. The cases refunded and the times are written in the refund policy.

How do I delete my account?

From the app, in settings. Deletion erases the online backup, then purges the device. The device is purged only once the server-side erasure has succeeded; if it fails, the device is not purged and the screen says so. No confirmation message is sent.

What if I change phone, or Namup disappears?

Your data lives on your device and stays under your control: an encrypted backup you keep yourself (your messaging app, your cloud) moves with you to a new phone, and CSV export is available anytime. Your plan never depends on our servers.

The app is not behaving as expected.

Write to hello@namup.net and tell us what you were doing, what you expected, and what happened instead. A screenshot saves a round trip.

Who publishes Namup, and how do we get in touch?

Namup is published by Namup, LLC, 2810 N Church St STE 89757, Wilmington, DE 19802, United States. Write to hello@namup.net. You get an answer within 2 business days.
